Cutting the birds nails yourself, or having it done professionally by a vet, causes stress and pain and may also result in bleeding that can be very dangerous. The pet safety perch system files your birds nails safely and automatically with no human intervention or trauma. In fact, we discovered this system brings so much pleasure and delight to the birds that they will actually dance on the perch while it’s working.

What makes the perch so enjoyable is the gentle vibration that is generated while trimming the nail. As the nail is trimmed, blood within the nail, also known as the “QUICK,” retreats back up into the body cavity where it belongs. The pet safety perch’s rotating sanding wheel gently flakes away the nail. The unique design ensures that the nail is trimmed to the perfect length and proper shape at all times. The nail can never be over trimmed or hurt your bird. You no longer have to grab the bird or take it somewhere to maintain it’s nails.

The pet safety perch system can be custom ordered to fit any size bird. It’s easy to install and works with any size cage. Simply slide the motor housing though the outside of the cage, slide the face plate on and then insert and tighten the thumbscrews. Attach the sanding wheel and finally lock the perch into place with a simple ¼ turn. Turning it on for just 10 minutes a day insures your bird will have perfectly maintained nails. Or leave it on longer and continue to bring your bird pleasure all day long!
